bovine skin trimmings as a byproduct of the tanning industry

Seond Skin is a material study that deals with the unused parts of the skin in the tanning industry. Excess skin and its valuable ingredients are usually disposed or unused. By chopping and homogenizing the skin sections, a viscous mass is produced. This can be brought into shape by 3D printing or injection molding. The gluing properties of the skin create a stable, bendable material that can be optimized with enzyms for a variety of applications.
